Dr. John Baker is the founder of BiospereRestoration.org. He is a biosphere restoration ecologist with a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering Sciences, Master’s in Science Education and Bachelor’s in Zoology from the University of Florida. For over 28 years, he has studied the ecology, restoration, and primary succession of island ecosystems and the ecological factors that shape coastal communities in the gradient between dunes and maritime forest. In an effort to reverse Global Warming and stop the current mass extinction, he is currently focusing on the application of ecosystem and watershed restoration, ecological engineering (e.g., permaculture, carbon sequestration, etc.), geoengineering (e.g., Stratospheric Aerosol Injection) and education to restore the biosphere.
